Preparing
Schools for SchoolsNET - 134kB
In early 1999, a presentation was made to a large group of newly
inducted Technology Advisers in other districts. This was during
a particularly hectic time leading up to the Y2K problem, OASIS Y2K,
cabling of schools between Admin and Library and the installation of
SchoolsNET in all schools. This slideshow aimed at Technology
Advisers highlights the issues being faced by schools (at the time)
and how the new TA can be more effective in his/her role.
-
Electronic
Mail - A New Way to Communicate - 455kB
In late 1996, just after internet access was provided to all schools
via dial-up ISP access through OzeMail, this presentation was made to
give schools an idea about how they can utilise the e-mail feature of
the internet service. This slideshow explains the concepts of
e-mail and presents a number of ideas for its use. Still
relevant today.
